Role Overview:

The Theatre Manager oversees the delivery of patient-centered, evidence-based care as a team leader in nursing and support services. Key objectives include collaborating with consultants, CNMs, and other disciplines to implement quality management programs and assess their effectiveness.

Responsibilities encompass coordinating activity and resources within theatre, endoscopy, and CSSD departments to ensure safe, efficient services for patients and colleagues. The Theatre Manager plays a crucial role in developing theatre and endoscopy services while fostering positive working relationships among staff.

Key Responsibilities

* Implement quality management initiatives in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Drive service development within theatre and endoscopy departments.
* Maintain high professional standards to promote excellent teamwork and patient care.
* Lead resource allocation through rigorous planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
* Promote effective communication and team building at departmental level.
* Provide leadership and motivation to enhance staff performance and relations.
* Efficiently manage all resources.
* Drive change implementation as required.
* Develop and lead evidence-based policies and procedures for best practice.
* Monitor and drive proactive improvement efforts.
* Ensure comprehensive staff development and induction programs for clinical areas.
* Identify opportunities for staff professional growth aligned with service requirements.
* Comply with relevant accreditation standards and drive quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

* Holding a registered general nurse license with NMBI is mandatory.
* A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a leadership position within a theatre environment is required.
* Prior experience in private healthcare settings would be beneficial.
* A qualification in Peri-operative Nursing is necessary.
* Demonstrated leadership skills and influence are essential.
* Knowledge and experience of quality audit/assurance systems are crucial.
* Clinical and professional practice development expertise is required.
* Effective change management skills are necessary.
* Excellent communication skills are expected.
* Evidence of participation in an accreditation process would be advantageous.
