About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Specialist with proven experience in EU health and safety regulations and a solid understanding of OSHA standards. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment across our operations. You will be a partner with both local teams and global stakeholders to implement policies, monitor risks, and drive a culture of safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with EU health and safety legislation (including directives and country-specific laws) and incorporate OSHA best practices where applicable.
* Develop, implement, and maintain site health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
* Conduct workplace risk assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses.
* Deliver health and safety training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.
* Collaborate with operations, engineering, and management teams to embed safety into daily activities.
* Monitor and report on safety performance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Stay updated on changes in EU and international regulations to ensure compliance and proactive risk management.
* 5-10% travel required
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or medical device industries.
* Strong knowledge of EU Health & Safety directives; familiarity with OSHA regulations is highly desirable.
* Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are a plus.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and training facilitation skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple geographies.
