Role Description
This is a part-time and remote Private Contractor role with IEEE Transactions on Field Robotics (T-FR). The contractor will be responsible for tasks including coordinating editorial workflows, managing submissions, communicating with authors and reviewers, preparing editorial reports, and maintaining the journal's publication schedule. Additional responsibilities may include supporting the Editor-in-Chief in journal-related activities and ensuring the quality and consistency of the publication process.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, with strong organizational skills
* Familiarity with academic publishing workflows, submission management, and peer review processes
* Technical understanding of fields related to robotics, automation, and engineering
* Experience with editorial tasks such as coordinating with authors and reviewers or preparing reports
* Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a remote setting
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Robotics, Engineering, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
* Experience with online tools such as submission management systems (e.g., ScholarOne or Editorial Manager) is a plus
* Previous experience in academic publishing or involvement in research projects is advantageous
