A Secure SDLC-focused team is seeking an Associate Technical Product Owner to help support and expand its Security Champions initiative. This opportunity is well suited for someone at the beginning of their career who has basic exposure to application security and wants to build experience in technical product ownership and program coordination.As part of the team, you will manage specific areas of the Champions Program, assist with daily operational activities, and contribute to improving the adoption of secure development practices across engineering teams.ResponsibilitiesProduct & Program CoordinationAssist in managing product or program backlogs, including task tracking and prioritisationGather requirements from technical stakeholders and convert them into clear, actionable deliverableMaintain program documentation, guides, FAQs, and supporting reference materialsSecurity Champions Program SupportHelp onboard and coordinate Security Champions across engineering teamsSupport the planning and execution of security training sessions, workshops, and awareness initiativesAssist with communications and updates within the champion communityContribute to integrating secure development practices into engineering workflowsReporting, Metrics & ToolsTrack and report program metrics such as engagement, participation, and training completionMaintain accurate reporting data using Excel or dashboard tools such as Power BIWork with internal tooling, ticketing systems, and established workflows to support security and engineering activitiesIdentify opportunities for process enhancements and operational improvementsWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate has foundational technical knowledge, strong organisational abilities, and a keen interest in growing within application security and security-focused programs.Technical UnderstandingBasic knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Familiarity with engineering processes such as pull requests, builds, and release cyclesComfortable collaborating with engineering and security teams while proactively seeking clarification when neededApplication Security FundamentalsUnderstanding of core application security concepts, including:General awareness of outputs from security tools such as SAST, DAST, and dependency scanningStrong written and verbal communication skills within technical or security-related environmentsAbility to simplify and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesDetail-oriented, dependable, organised, and execution-drivenPreferred / Nice to HaveExposure to secure development practices or security awareness initiativesStrong interest in pursuing a career in application security or security-oriented product/program roles
