Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Facilities Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification or mechanical engineering degree and a minimum of 10 years experience in facilities/utilities management within GMP or regulated environments.
Maintenance and support of water systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, steam distribution, low-pressure hot water, and door management is a key responsibility.
The selected candidate will oversee maintenance of drainage systems, sprinkler systems, and safety-related equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical equipment and effective communication abilities are essential.
Key requirements include:
* Trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering degree.
* Minimum of 10 years experience in facilities/utilities management within GMP or regulated environments.
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems (chillers, boilers, process piping, utilities distribution).
* Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical equipment.
* Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities
This position requires:
* Maintaining and supporting water systems (chilled, condensate, towns), boilers, chillers, cooling towers, steam distribution, low-pressure hot water, and door management.
* Maintaining mechanical assets for the WWTP, including pumps, mixers, pipework, and related systems.
* Performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems.
* Supporting mechanical system upgrades, modifications, and project activities.
* Overseeing maintenance of drainage systems, sprinkler systems, and safety-related equipment.
* Collaborating with other teams to support infrastructure projects and ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.
