We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Food Promotions Planner to join our Purchasing Food Promotions team.
The Food Promotions Planner will be responsible for the planning of timings, duration, frequency and quantities of weekly, monthly and seasonal promotions of branded and own label products.
We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
The Food Promotions Planner will report directly to the Food Promotions Senior Planner.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for delivering upon the KPI targets of the specific area: Turnover, Volume & Net Profit
Attending international trade fairs to choose product ranges for upcoming promotional activity
Liaising with the buying teams in Ireland, the UK and Germany to grow and optimise the available product range
Planning and implementing best in class Campaigns and Seasonal Themes
Planning and monitoring promotional costings and budgets
Ensuring effective market research is carried out, so that our pricing continues to be competitive but also profitable
Working in conjunction with our Advertising and Communications departments to outline the items to appear in the leaflet, press, online and on social media
Regularly communicating with our warehouses and our suppliers to ensure that our products are delivered to our stores in a timely manner
Regularly monitoring the performance and sell-through of all promotional items
Deciding the correct course of action to improve sell-through, such as price reductions, stock transfers or store placements
Qualifications
Exceptional organisational, analytical and data management skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Confident, motivated and enthusiastic
Ability to work under pressure
Aptitude for Technical Systems
Proficient in MS office (in particular Excel)
German is an advantage but not essential

€51,000 rising to €65,000 after 3 years
