We are seeking 3 experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to service, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications, Irish road safety regulations, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in HGVs, trailers, and associated equipment.
* Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections in accordance with RSA (Road Safety Authority) guidelines.
* Repair and replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults accurately.
* Prepare vehicles for CVRT (Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test) and ensure compliance with Irish road safety legislation.
* Maintain accurate service and repair records.
* Work with manufacturers' manuals and technical data.
* Follow company health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Assist in breakdown recovery and roadside repairs when required.
* Keep workshop tools and equipment in safe working order.
Skills & Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with heavy goods vehicles.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
* Ability to use modern diagnostic tools and software.
* Understanding of CVRT and Irish transport safety regulations.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Remuneration for this role is €34,000.00 per year based on 39 hours per week.
