Role: We're looking for a hands-on experienced Assistant Manager or experienced Supervisor who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and can run a tight, happy, and efficient shift. This person is a morning person, sets the tone for the day, and makes sure both guests and team feel looked after.
Operations & Guest Experience
* Support the daily operation of the cafe, especially during peak brunch hours.
* Ensure high standards of food quality, speed of service, and cleanliness at all times.
* Run structured shifts: clear roles, sections, and responsibilities for every team member.
* Manage queues and table turnover so we don't lose guests waiting outside while tables sit dirty or unused.
* Maintain a warm, upbeat atmosphere that feels "very PÓG" – friendly, energetic, and organised.
* Knowledge of management systems is a must
Team Leadership & Culture
* Lead by example on the floor – visible, proactive, and supportive.
* Train, coach, and develop the team; give clear direction and feedback.
* Foster strong communication between FOH and Kitchen.
* Build a positive, motivated team culture where people enjoy coming to work and know what's expected of them.
Financial & Commercial Performance
* Monitor and manage labour cost, food cost, and other key KPIs.
* Use scheduling and forecasting tools to staff efficiently for busy and quiet periods.
* Drive sales through great service, upselling, events, and local marketing.
* Take responsibility for hitting weekly and monthly targets.
Standards, Systems & Compliance
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety, food safety, and company policies.
* Use and maintain our management systems (POS, inventory, scheduling, CRM, etc.).
* Follow and improve checklists, procedures, and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience as a Superovisor/ Assistant Manager or similar leadership role in hospitality
* Strong, hands-on leadership – not an office manager.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Solid financial understanding (labour, cost of goods, budgeting).
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
* Passion for food, coffee, and delivering a great guest experience.
* Comfortable working with multiple management systems and technology.
* Naturally positive, energetic, and a "morning person" who sets the tone for the team.
