Personal Presentation
Ensuring that one's personal demeanour, attitudes and interactions are at all times professional and in line with An Bord Altranais Guidelines and scope of practice
Adherence to An Bord Altranais Code of Practice
Presented in the full company uniform at all times
Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene
Presented in Personal protective Equipment (PPE) when required
Practicing and promoting Nursing home guidelines on hand washing and Infection Control to protect oneself and others
Adherence to guidelines on Absenteeism Lateness and sickness
Resident Care
Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating nursing care
Prioritising care needs of residents while ensuring care is individualised
Assisting in Managing the nursing home environment so that it is conducive to meeting the physical, psychological and social needs of residents
Preparing and Administrating Drugs in line with Company policy and 'An Bord Altrnais' guidelines
Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the residents dignity at all times
Assisting in the safekeeping of residents valuables
Providing Palliative care for dying residents and support for their relatives
Performance Management
Leading by example and demonstrating a strong 'team ethos' being positive and motivational at all times
Conducting induction and sign off for new employees
Planning and allocating daily tasks for care and support staff in a fair and consistent manner
Encouraging, training and guiding team while maintaining a happy environment
Participating in Staff Appraisals while continually assessing the performance of all employees
Addressing with due delay any issues or allegations
