Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Early Years General Manager to lead our team at Parkside Childcare. Our centre has been a trusted provider of childcare services in South Dublin for over 30 years.
To be successful, you will have:
* A minimum of Level 7 qualification in Early Years Education recognised by DCEDIY.
* At least 10 years' experience in the childcare sector, with a minimum of 7 years in management.
* Demonstrable leadership, problem-solving, budgeting, sales and occupancy, compliance, staffing and communication skills.
You must also be able to commute easily to Rathfarnham and possess clear Garda Vetting (and International police clearance if having lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months). Two written references from your most recent employer will be required and verified.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team. They will be responsible for leading our existing management team, supporting staff development and implementing quality Early Childhood curriculum and creative activities.
The role is full-time, with operating hours between 7:30am and 6:30pm. You should consider travel and commute time when applying.

The key responsibilities of this position include:
* Naming Person In Charge under Parkside Childcare's Tusla Registration, adhering to the legal framework of such a position.
* Liaising with the Registered Provider and reporting to the Board of Directors.
* Leading the existing management team and supporting them in their roles.
* Working with and managing Systems, HR, Admin and Finance teams and their respective roles within each area of the business.
* Ensuring Compliance with CHILD CARE ACT 1991 (EARLY YEARS SERVICES) REGULATIONS 2016.
* Developing and delivering guidance on Early Years policies, procedures and standards.
* Managing day-to-day operations of the service.
The successful candidate must have:
* Minimum QQI Level 7 in Early Years Education.
* A minimum of 10 years in the childcare sector and at least 7 in management.
* Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and IT skills.
* Demonstrable success in staff retention, staff development and training.
* Ability to prepare and adhere to monthly budgets.
* Manage Core Funding liaising with Registered Provider.
* Prepare performance reports given to Board of Directors on a monthly basis.
* Highly organised with an ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to implement quality Early Childhood curriculum and creative skills to develop age-appropriate activities.
* Full knowledge of Preschool Regulations 2016 and requirements of maintaining fully compliant Preschool Inspections with Tusla.
