The Cluain Mhuire Service is a national center of innovation in public mental health service provision. Our community-based adult mental health service caters to approximately 182,000 people in the South East Coast of Ireland.
We deliver early intervention in psychosis, ADHD, gender and general hospital mental health services. The ADAPT Adult ADHD Service invites applications for the post of Senior Psychologist.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing high-quality care that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users. They will conduct thorough assessments to determine the needs of individuals attending the ADHD Clinic, informing individual and group intervention plans.
As part of a dynamic Multidisciplinary ADHD Team with supervision and support from the Principal Psychologist, they will join a vibrant Psychology Department and have opportunities to develop their professional and clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide psychological therapy to individuals with ADHD.
* Develop and implement individual and group intervention plans tailored to meet the complex needs of service users.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide effective care and support.
* Participate in continuous professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in psychology and related fields.
The successful candidate must have a recognized university degree or diploma in Psychology, along with a post-graduate professional qualification in clinical, counselling or educational psychology. At least five years of post-graduate experience in professional psychology is required, with at least one year spent working in an Adult Mental Health Service. Experience of group work, multidisciplinary team working, counseling and advocacy are essential. A clean driver's license and access to transportation are also necessary.
