About Your New Job
As the
Maintenance Technician
, you will be a key member of the site operations team, working hands-on on the production floor to keep equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
In this role, you will:
Own and manage preventative maintenance activities, ensuring equipment downtime is minimised
Carry out inspections, fault-finding, and repairs on plant equipment including packaging lines and refrigeration systems
Coordinate external contractors for specialist maintenance and installations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to standard
Support production teams with technical guidance, troubleshooting, and equipment optimisation
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards (including HACCP and environmental requirements)
This is a hands-on, responsible role where your technical judgement and planning ability will directly impact plant performance.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food production experience is a strong advantage)
Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems commonly used in production facilities
Strong troubleshooting ability, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Experience coordinating outsourced maintenance contractors while maintaining site safety and uptime
