Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef to step into a leadership role in a high-volume, fast-paced venue. The role offers €24 per hour and a structured 4-day work week, ensuring a balance between professional growth and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations
* Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and morale
* Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes
* Assist in menu planning and execution with a focus on seasonality and innovation
* Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards
* Oversee stock management, ordering, and cost control
* Maintain a calm, efficient kitchen environment during busy service periods
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a busy kitchen
* Proven ability to lead and mentor junior chefs
* Strong culinary skills with an eye for detail and consistency
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene best practices
* Flexible, positive, and passionate about great food
* Previous experience working in Ireland preferred
* Fluent English and references essential
