Key Responsibilities for GastroBar/Venue General Manager in Cork
The successful candidate will oversee the effective management of Food, Beverage, and Events operations at our prominent GastroPub/Venue in Cork. This role requires coordinating the team to manage day-to-day activities.
Requirements and Expectations
* At least 2 years of General Management experience, preferably in a high-quality Gastropub locally
* A strong background in managing FOH teams and kitchen brigades
* Excellent leadership and team management abilities are essential
* Motivation, reliability, and professionalism are key attributes required
* Demonstrated coaching, training, and mentoring skills are expected
* A positive attitude, 'can-do' approach, and friendly personality are necessary
* Fluent English and advanced IT and admin skills are mandatory
Main Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations and coordinate all areas of the premises
* Lead, mentor, and guide the team as needed
* Establish procedures to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards
* Manage premises effectively, including events, security, health, and safety
* Full responsibility for tills, cash procedures, food and beverage pricing, sales, promotions, stock control, rostering, and achieving margins
* Ensure adherence to EHO guidelines during shift and opening/closing procedures
* Provide leadership and create a welcoming atmosphere for staff and guests
