Job description
Staffline has an exciting position for a production line leader with its client in Drogheda.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Line Leader is responsible for all aspects of production and people management for their specific shift.
Main responsibilities :
1. Keep the production line running
2. Assisting with general factory tasks
3. Ensuring goods are wrapped and packed to the correct specifications
4. Cross training on all various production facilities
5. Cleaning of production line/machines and filling out records
6. Ensuring work area is kept clean and tidy
7. Ensuring quality sheets are completed accurately
8. Ensure the production line is run in a safe an efficient manner
9. Entering finished goods into production record books
10. Assisting in stock counts
11. Assisting in planned inspections
12. Working overtime when necessary
13. Highlighting any machine or process improvements that can be made
14. Participating in Group Communication Meetings.
15. Participating in ongoing training courses.
16. Adhering to rules including, smoking, jewellery etc.
17. Reporting of any safety issues observed in the Factory
18. Report any plant / machinery problems immediately to site management
19. Report and issues relating to H&S to site management immediately
20. Other duties as required
The successful candidate will have:
21. Knowledge of production management principles and supervisory skills
22. Good interpersonal skills combined with excellent communication ability
23. Experience in a supervisory, managerial or production capacity
24. HACCP/BRC an advantage
The company operates 5 days per week Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm and finish half day weekend or shift work involved. 39 hr week
