 
        
        Key Responsibilities
Ensure that line maintenance is contracted to a suitably approved maintenance organisation.
Ensure that the aircraft, engine(s), propeller(s) and components are sent to an appropriately approved Part 145 maintenance organisation whenever necessary.
Order maintenance, supervise activities and coordinate related decisions to ensure that any maintenance and defect rectification is carried out properly and released for aircraft airworthiness determination.
Review and approve maintenance invoices.
Conduct competence assessments of maintenance management staff within the department as required by CAMO.A.305.
Manage activities of staff under control and the methods of interface with contracting organisations providing line & base maintenance support.
Administer all staff under control, including selection, training, recruitment and dismissal.
Ensure corrective action from compliance monitoring (PART CAMO.A.200(a)(6)) is carried out within prescribed timescales.
Interface with relevant contracting organisations regarding scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Provide routine reports on such activities for review by CAM and, where appropriate, the Compliance Manager.
Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as requested by CAM.
Delegate some tasks to a Maintenance Check Representative when appropriate.
Report maintenance errors that could endanger safe operation of the aircraft in the safety reporting system.
Maintain competence through continued education and training in the area of responsibility.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Completed a recognised Aircraft Maintenance Training course and hold appropriate qualification in aircraft engineering such as Part 66 B1.1 or 2 licence, or an aeronautical engineering degree.
Minimum of 8 years' post-apprenticeship experience, including at least 2 years' supervisory experience.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
