We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Cost Accounting Assistant & Data Specialist
to join our team.
This role is ideal for a professional with a solid foundation in cost accounting principles and data analysis.
You will play a key role in supporting cost accounting operations, analysing financial and operational data, and providing valuable insights to drive efficiency and cost-saving initiatives within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in cost accounting tasks, including cost variance analysis, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
Collect, organise, and analyse financial and operational data to generate meaningful insights.
Support developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, and analytics strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts to assist management in strategic decision-making.
Maintain and update cost records while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with financial policies.
Identify trends and patterns in data to support cost optimisation and process improvements.
Utilise spreadsheets, ERP/accounting software, and data visualisation tools to present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
Collaborate with various departments to assess financial performance and drive cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in cost analysis and data analytics.
Requirements:
Experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or data analysis is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting/ERP software, and data visualisation tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large and complex data sets.
Ability to commute – own transport is required.
