Our client is seeking a Country Manager, reporting directly to the CEO and part of the Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute the strategic vision for the gardencare business on the IOI, aligning with company objectives and ambitions.
* Oversight of business development, profitability, and growth.
* Lead and coach Area Managers with clear direction and momentum to achieve strategic business objectives.
* Establish annual budgets for revenues and gross margin, ensuring delivery against targets.
* Promote business awareness and assess priorities to deliver results.
* Foster strong commercial relationships with all customers.
* Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to execute annual gardencare marketing plans.
* Work with the Technical Director and team to identify new product opportunities meeting consumer needs and category growth objectives.
* Maintain active involvement in innovation initiatives.
* Employ an analytical approach to business building, leveraging data analysis skills.
* Effective presentation and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills to balance multiple role aspects.
* Drive ambition and contribute significantly to the business.
* Maintain balanced judgment, make informed decisions, and act decisively.
* Embody responsibility, clarity, respect, and effective listening and communication skills.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of senior commercial experience, preferably in Horticulture, Garden Centres, or FMCG sectors.
* Bachelor's degree in Business.
* Demonstrable career achievements.
* Evidence of building a business in challenging environments.
* Valid driving license.
