Oranges & Lemons is a rapidly growing production company, creating high-quality video content for brands. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team and work on some of the biggest brands in Ireland and the UK.
We are looking for an all round rockstar of a creative, a hands-on Shooting Director / Editor who can own projects from concept through final delivery.
This is a full-time role, based in Dublin
Role Overview
The Shooting Director / Editor will be responsible for directing shoots, capturing compelling footage, and editing polished final videos. This role requires a strong creative eye, technical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently in an incredibly fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Directing
* Plan, direct, and execute video shoots (in studio and/or on-location)
* Collaborate with producers, clients, and creative team to align on vision and goals
* Make creative decisions on framing, lighting, camera movement, and shot composition
* Lead talent and crew on set to ensure efficient, high-quality shoots
Cinematography
* Operate cameras and related equipment (cameras, lenses, audio, lighting)
* Ensure high technical standards for video and audio capture
* Adapt quickly to changing shoot conditions or creative needs
Post-Production & Editing
* Edit video content for various platforms (social, web, branded content, etc.)
* Apply colour correction, basic colour grading, sound syncing, and audio clean-up
* Incorporate graphics, music, and motion elements as needed
* Manage revisions and feedback efficiently while meeting deadlines
Creative Collaboration
* Contribute creative ideas during pre-production and post-production
* Maintain consistent visual style aligned with brand guidelines
* Help refine workflows as the company grows
Must Have
* Proven experience as a Shooting Director, Videographer, or Video Editor
* Strong portfolio demonstrating both shooting and editing skills
* Proficiency in editing software (preferably Adobe Premiere Pro)
* Solid understanding of cameras, lighting, and audio recording
* Strong storytelling and visual composition skills
* Excellent time management and communication skills
Nice to Have
* Experience with motion graphics (After Effects or similar)
* Experience shooting for social media and digital platforms
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Interest in helping shape the creative direction of a growing company
