Senior Cardiac Physiologist Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated professional to fill a Senior Cardiac Physiologist position at our hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, leadership, and clinical expertise in the performance of diagnostic tests and procedures related to cardiovascular systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Familiarity with current medical practice techniques and equipment for diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients.
* Supervising and training Cardiac Physiologists within the department.
* Maintaining clinical standards and patient care excellence.
* Providing training and evaluation for staff within the department.
* Participating in invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures, including Echo, ECG, Holter/BP monitoring, Stress ECG, Pacemaker, and ICD follow-up and programming.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of Non-Invasive diagnostic Cardiac procedures.
* Effective communication with Consultants, GPs, and hospital staff regarding patients' needs.
* Timely production and delivery of patient procedures, maintaining required departmental records, and ensuring equipment maintenance according to manufacturers' specifications.
* Maintaining and developing the Cardiology Policy and procedure manual.
* Training new employees and assisting in evaluating all cardiac physiologists.
* Professional and courteous relationships with all hospital departments.
Requirements:
* B.Sc. in Clinical Measurement Science or equivalent qualification.
* A.S.C.S.T – Associate of The Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (UK) or equivalent.
* Aiming to sit the IBHRE/ BHRS exam in the future.
* Possessing Advanced Life Support.
* At least 3 years post-qualification experience with 1 year Echo experience.
* Strong organisational skills with high-volume workload management.
* Clinical competence and relevant experience in invasive and non-invasive Cardiology.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with teamwork ability.
