XL New Inn, a convenient store based in New Inn, Ballinasloe is now looking to expand. Job title: Store Assistants (Full-Time) Duties & Responsibilities: Customer service. Greeting customers and assisting them find products and provide information about items. Point of Sale Operations. Handling of cash and payments. Complete payment transaction at checkout. Stock Management. Rotate & replenish stock with minimum manual effort. Ensure shelves are well stocked and displayed with visual appeal. Assist with deliveries. Fulfil order picking. Stocktaking as requested. Sales Support & Merchandising. Promote sales, highlight special offers and aid with meeting sales targets. Store Maintenance. Maintain a tidy and well run store to include displaying signs and promotions and ensure the stock and store are in line with hygiene policy. Customer complaints handling. Address customer complaints as they arise. Provide explanation and/or refunds where necessary. Resolve returned item issues. Key Requirements: Previous retail experience hugely advantageous. Open to Training the right candidate. Effective communicator with welcoming manner to customers and colleagues. Ability to work in a team environment with a strong team spirit. Working knowledge of EPOS system. Compliance of company policies on cash handling and closing store procedures. About the job: Available for an immediate start. Full-time contract. Available to work Monday through Shop opened at Friday 8am 8pm (Hours would be flexible) with occasional Saturday work available. On-site. Flex hours.
