Description
Purpose of the Role:
1. Work as part of the Nursing team in providing nursing care for children and their families.
2. Provide clinical leadership and ensure high-quality care.
3. Act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner.
4. Ensure the provision of a high standard of care to children and their families, aligned with the hospital's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
5. Assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the department within allocated resources.
6. Promote continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
7. Undertake delegated responsibilities for the department in the absence of the CNM/CNS.
8. Maintain confidentiality regarding the child's admission and treatment at all times.
Qualifications:
* Registered Children’s/Registered General Nurse with acute paediatric experience.
* Minimum of 2 years acute paediatric experience within the last 5 years, in areas such as medical/surgical wards, theatre, recovery, intensive care, or anaesthetics.
* Registered with NMBI at the time of application.
* Proven track record in continuing professional development.
* Proficient in both written and spoken English.
