We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensivist to join our dynamic team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including resuscitation, stabilization, and weaning from life support systems.
* Lead and manage clinical teams, including medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Participate in ward rounds, discuss patient cases with colleagues, and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, communicate effectively with colleagues and family members, and ensure seamless handovers.
Requirements
* Eligibility to register with the Medical Council of Ireland.
* Current or recent experience as a Consultant or Senior Registrar in intensive care medicine.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing complex critically ill patients, including those requiring mechanical ventilation, cardiovascular support, and renal replacement therapy.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Proven track record of publishing research papers, presenting at conferences, and participating in clinical education programs.
