Key Duties and Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership: Oversee a team of Gas Fitters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work; coordinate and schedule daily work activities; conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress and updates.
Quality Control: Ensure all installations, maintenance, and repairs of gas appliances and pipework are completed safely and accurately; perform quality checks to ensure adherence to safety standards and company protocols.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety regulations and company policies; ensure Gas Fitters maintain up-to-date G.I.D/D.G.A. qualifications; conduct safety training sessions.
Technical Expertise: Assist with complex installations, maintenance, and repairs; provide technical support and troubleshooting; stay updated with industry standards.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns, handle escalated complaints, ensuring high standards of service.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of work; monitor inventory; prepare reports on performance and incidents.
Required Experience and Competencies
Qualifications: Full clean driver's license; up-to-date G.I.D/D.G.A. qualifications.
Experience: Extensive experience in gas installations, maintenance, and repair; previous supervisory or leadership experience desirable.
Skills: High attention to detail; excellent time management; strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks; integrity and respect for confidentiality; confident, motivated, independent worker and team member.
