Job Title: Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer

Description:
Our facility in Ireland is a world-class manufacturing hub for high-quality PCBAs, subassemblies, and complete devices up to Class III medical devices. We specialize in manufacturing automation and provide services throughout the product lifecycle, from New Product Introduction (NPI) to complex volume manufacturing & test, shipping and repair.

Objectives:
Maintain and support the Environmental, Health, and Safety Management system in the plant.
Ensure all operations are in compliance with domestic and European regulations.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate EHS activities in the facility to ensure continued compliance to environmental, health, and safety management systems.
Work closely with the EHS Manager to set EHS objectives and targets.
Review Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Safety Statement to recommend revisions or amendments.
Maintain the risk assessment review process and support team leaders to develop improvement programs to reduce risks.
Conduct accident investigations and recommend appropriate actions.
Monitor adherence to stated policies through Safety Audits and inspections.
Maintain accident reduction and prevention programs to ensure continuous improvement.
Conduct or coordinate Environmental, Health, and Safety training programs.
Guide the implementation of safety policy through good management practices.
Monitor EHS performance and feedback information to the EHS Manager.
Ensure compliance with in-house procedures, corporate policies, and legislation for Environmental and Health and Safety.
Review Emergency Response procedures and organize fire evacuations.
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure new designs and line changes comply with H&S requirements.
Liaise with operational management regarding the production of SOPs to cover all safety requirements.
Work with facilities to implement contractor management procedure and meet continuous improvement targets.
Deputize for the EHS Manager when required.
Support site EHS aspects of auditing.
Carry out other EHS tasks as prescribed from time to time.
