Your new roleAs the Engineering Maintenance Store Person, you will take full responsibility for the effective management of the engineering stores, ensuring all agreed spares and consumables are available when required. You will maintain accurate stock levels, uphold high housekeeping standards and ensure all systems and processes support efficient stock control.Your key duties will include:Managing stock control for all engineering parts, consumables and fuelsEnsuring optimum spare part quantities and identifying critical sparesMaintaining accurate working systems and databases for all partsOrdering spare parts and consumables, and sourcing best‑value optionsConducting regular stock takes and reporting usage trendsSupporting the Maintenance Manager with updates, including H&S mattersManaging supplier contact details and procurement of non‑stock itemsCollecting and transporting parts using a company vehicleMaintaining administration of the PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) systemProviding cover for other store/warehouse roles when requiredPromoting safe working practices and reporting accidents or near missesWhat you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need strong knowledge of engineering parts, basic IT skills and familiarity with inventory management systems, good communication skills, valid UK driving licence and Forklift operation experience (or willingness to train) What you'll get in returnYou will join a supportive and safety‑focused team where your contribution is valued.
