We are currently hiring a CNM 2 - Ortho and Surgical for a reputed hospital in Cork, Ireland.
Our focus is on delivering exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, compassion, and professionalism are at the heart of everything we do Responsibilities Provide overall clinical and managerial leadership for the Orthopaedic Surgical unit, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
Lead and manage nursing and support staff, including workforce planning, rostering, performance management, and staff development.
Ensure compliance with professional standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee clinical governance, risk management, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives.
Collaborate closely with consultants, surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
Manage operational aspects of the unit, including bed management, patient flow, and discharge planning.
Monitor and control budgets, resources, equipment, and supplies within the unit.
Lead quality improvement, audit, and service development initiatives.
Support education, training, and mentoring of CNM 1s, staff nurses, and student nurses.
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to hospital-wide nursing and service objectives.
Requirements Registered General Nurse on the live register with NMBI · Strong values and commitment to patient safety and quality.

· Adaptable with demonstrated ability to multi-task.
