Registered General Nurse in Community Healthcare
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team in delivering high-quality care to vulnerable populations in Dublin. As a dedicated and compassionate RGN, you will play a vital role in making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
The Nurse-on-Call team provides holistic care to marginalized groups, including Travellers, Ukrainians, International protection applicants, and individuals experiencing homelessness. This role involves working in various clinical settings, including outreach clinics, sexual health clinics, and Anti-Human Trafficking services.
You will work closely with our Director of Nursing (DON) to develop and implement nursing care plans that prioritize patient-centered care and promote equality and inclusivity.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Initiating nursing assessments and preparing comprehensive care plans for all SI cohorts.
* Prioritizing workload and situations as appropriate, working closely with the DON to ensure effective delivery of care.
* Staffing nurse in clinical settings/outreach clinics as required, and supporting Primary Health Care Traveller Projects (PHCTP) and SI services.
* Promoting equality and inclusivity amongst all SI cohorts, advocating on behalf of clients and their families when necessary.
* Maintaining good collaborative working relationships with statutory, professional, and voluntary organizations responsible for healthcare.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Experience as an RGN within social inclusion or work with marginalized groups.
* A self-starting approach and ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Health Service Executive – CHEast policies and procedures, as well as An Bord Altranais guidelines.
