Position: Lead Construction Quality Manager (CQM)
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Travel required 2–3 days per week)

The Opportunity
Due to project success, our client are seeking a senior construction quality leader to take ownership of their European Data Centre site quality function. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving quality excellence across multiple live projects while leading a specialist team of travelling Site Engineers.
The successful candidate will shape and strengthen our on‑site quality assurance approach across Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), First of Kind (FOK) installations, benchmarks, and L1–L4 commissioning activities. You will act as the senior quality representative during critical project milestones and key client engagements.
While leadership and planning are central to this position, the role requires continued hands‑on site engagement during critical visits and major commissioning events.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership of the Construction Quality Management team across European data centre projects.
Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of Site Engineers travelling across Europe to support live projects.
Forecast and plan site visits in collaboration with Mechanical and Electrical Project Leads on a weekly basis, ensuring proactive attendance at critical milestones.
Oversee and standardise quality inspections across FAT, SAT, FOK, benchmarks and L1–L4 commissioning activities.
Review, validate and ensure high‑quality issuance of site reports, snag lists and defect reports to internal teams, clients and General Contractors.
Act as senior point of contact for client and GC site teams during key visits and escalated quality matters.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying recurring quality trends and feeding structured insight back to design and delivery teams.
Optimise team utilisation, travel planning and project coverage across multiple concurrent programmes.
Strengthen and formalise quality reporting processes and documentation standards.
Represent the business at senior level during critical project engagements.
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience & Background
Trades background as a qualified Electrician or Plumber/Pipe Fitter with minimum of 6 years post qualification experience with proven leadership experience.
Strong experience within large‑scale construction environments (data centre experience highly desirable).
Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and commissioning processes (L1–L4).
Experience attending and overseeing FAT and SAT procedures.
Proven leadership experience managing technical or site‑based teams.
Excellent written reporting capability and strong verbal communication skills in English language.
Willingness to travel across Europe approximately 2–3 days per week. It is essential that the candidate must be able to travel freely in Europe and Nordic countries
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
Experience working directly with hyperscale clients and major General Contractors.
Experience developing or implementing structured quality management systems.
Leadership & Strategic Impact
This role sits at senior leadership level within the operations structure. The Lead – Construction Quality Management will shape how site quality is delivered across the business and will directly influence project outcomes, client relationships and operational standards.
