Job Title: Early Years Educator
Job Type: Fixed-term (12 months contract), Part-time (21 hours per week & 18 hours per week)
Location: ChildVision Early Years, Cork – Model Farm Road
Salary: AIMS Worker €14 an hour with paid holidays
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years educator to join our dynamic team in Cork. The successful candidate will hold a qualification in Early Years Education (Min level 5). Ideally the candidate will have experience in working with children with visual impairment and multiple disabilities but if not, full training will be provided. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
* Direct Teaching: Delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to young children with visual impairments in a variety of settings (e.g.,classrooms, small groups).
* Individualised Support: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each child.
* Collaboration: Working closely with parents/guardians and other professionals to ensure optimal child development.
* Reporting: Maintaining accurate records, and preparing comprehensive reports on student progress.
* Professional Development: Continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills in early childhood education and inclusive practices.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Minimum qualification: Montessori or QQI Level 5 in Childcare.
Experience:
* Previous experience working with children with visual impairments and/or special needs is desirable.
Skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
* Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
* High level of computer literacy and familiarity with relevant software.
Other:
* Full reference checks and Garda vetting is applicable in respect of this position.
* Applicants must be available for in person interview and should also be eligible to work in Ireland.
