What you will be doing
We are seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join our finance team, supporting the continued growth of an expanding international business. This role is well suited to a recently qualified accountant or someone with a few years’ industry experience looking to further develop in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will predominantly be responsible for the month-end close process, gaining exposure across multiple entities and jurisdictions. Based in Limerick (with flexibility for remote working), this is an excellent opportunity to build broad experience and contribute to a high-performing finance function.
Key Respobsibilities
* Managing the group month end accounting process
* Preparing monthly consolidated management accounts
* Reconciling intercompany on a monthly basis
* Providing commentary on monthly variance analysis
* Assisting in the preparation of Board reporting packs
* Tax returns and compliance
* Liaising with external auditors
* Responsible for acquisition accounting when required
* Working with colleagues in other jurisdictions in relation to reporting and compliance matters
* Ad hoc analysis/projects as required by the CFO or Head of Finance
What you will need
* Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA)
* Attention to detail and a practical mindset
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Excellent organizational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines
* Preference for experience with Xero
* Preference for experience of group consolidation accounting
* Legal entitlement to live and work in Ireland
