Position Summary
The UCD School of Computer Science is Ireland's leading computer science school and offers taught educational programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. BDIC provides students with a world‑class international education across three degree programmes: Software Engineering, Electronic & Information Engineering, and The Internet of Things. The Lecturer/Assistant Professor will teach on the BDIC programmes and contribute to the School's research activity, typically teaching in Beijing for one trimester and conducting research at UCD's Belfield campus during the remaining trimesters.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality teaching across BDIC degree programmes.
* Engage in research aligned with UCD School of Computer Science priorities.
* Participate in the development of new curricula and assessment methods.
* Collaborate with UCD faculty and industry partners on research projects.
Qualifications
* Expertise and an ongoing research programme in one of the following areas:
* Computer Security
* Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
* Digital Health
* Foundations of Computing
* Human‑Computer Interaction
* Information Systems
* Intelligent Sensing
* Software Engineering and Distributed Systems
* Emerging Topics such as Sustainability and Machine Ethics
