Duties and Responsibilities
* The Deputy CFO will have primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and overseeing all Finance and Actuarial activities.
* Provide leadership, direction, and management to the Finance and Actuarial functions.
* Oversee joint processes in Finance and Actuarial to ensure efficient coordination of deliverables, cross-team communication, and workflow.
* Contribute to CACI’s strategic and financial planning as Deputy CFO.
* Establish and develop relationships with executive management, senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.
* Represent the Finance and Actuarial functions at Crédit Agricole Group level, including participation in various committee meetings.
* Manage and oversee outsourced activities in both areas.
* Develop and implement best-practice policies, practices, and tools for both functions.
* Ensure adherence to CACI and CAA’s governance frameworks.
* Represent the CFO at specific engagements and committees.
* Lead the quarterly financial and actuarial committee.
Finance & Actuarial Leadership
* Oversee daily operations of the Finance and Actuarial functions in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
* Approve financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with governance and Group practices.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, collaborating with compliance and legal teams to manage risks.
* Lead and sponsor strategic projects aligned with CACI’s priorities.
* Ensure adherence to CACI’s governance framework.
* Contribute to CACI’s strategic and financial planning.
Finance & Actuarial Reporting
* Validate and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
* Collaborate with the Chief Actuary on risk management, variance analysis, and sign-offs.
* Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
* Assist in developing long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals.
* Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, control functions, and regulators.
* Support the financial controller in technical accounting, reporting, and management control leadership.
Actuarial
* Oversee and report on portfolio performance, partnership indicators, profit-share estimates, and actuals.
* Monitor the solvency position of CACI’s three regulated entities.
* Contribute to ORSA, SFCR, and RSR processes, including sign-off at the entity level.
* Present key portfolio performance metrics at internal and group committees.
* Support the Chief Actuary in leading the actuarial areas: pricing, modeling, reinsurance, etc.
