Material Planner
Cpl, in partnership with our client Pfizer, is seeking a Material Planner to join the team for an 11-month fixed-term contract at their Newbridge site. This is an onsite role for the first 6 months, with hybrid working options available.
Position Summary
The Material Planner will oversee and optimize inventory control (IC) and Inventory Management (IM) activities. Responsibilities include supporting monthly demand plans, optimizing production strategies, and integrating new businesses and products. The role involves facilitating IC/IM processes, developing metrics, and ensuring data integrity and inventory performance.

2. Maintain compliance and audit readiness, and keep procedures and documentation up to date.
3. Prioritize safety and housekeeping.

5. Resolve and escalate issues appropriately.

7. Adhere to departmental metrics.
8. Provide subject matter expertise on systems, technologies, and products.
9. Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Participate in decision-making with stakeholders.
11. Support the introduction of new products.
12. Report to the department manager.
Specific Areas of Responsibility
Dependent on role assignment, responsibilities may include:
Customer Service Management
- Support customer order promising and communicate changes professionally.
- Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure product availability while minimizing supply chain inventories.
- Manage ISS and SO markets (Open order reports).
- Handle escalations on supply issues from markets.
Data Management
- Assist with data loading and master data changes in PT.
- Manage supplier data changes.
CI Support (FG/RM)
- Work with planners to identify waste and list CI projects to eliminate non-value-added activities.
- Support CI initiatives and track progress.
S&OP Support
- Support all S&OP and demand planning activities.
- Facilitate monthly material forecast aggregation, ensuring stakeholder consensus.
- Develop data analysis best practices.
- Provide performance metrics and insights to relevant teams.
Inventory Control
- Analyze forecast demand versus actual demand.
- Notify relevant teams of significant changes.
- Support Pack PAR changes and financial exposure management.
- Manage change control processes.
- Optimize inventory to minimize financial exposure.
PPGs & cGMP
- Develop and maintain PPGs.
- Ensure compliance with all plant PPGs.
Project Management
- Manage projects for continuous improvement.
- Participate in NPI projects, transfers, divestments, and obsolescence initiatives.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education: Third-level qualification in Purchasing, Materials Management, or a related business/science field is preferred. Relevant experience and attitude may be considered as alternatives.
Experience: At least 2 years in manufacturing planning, supply chain, or logistics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks are essential. Service-minded, reactive, and rigorous are desired qualities.
