Responsibilities
Responsible for the definition, design, development and timely completion of major new features in current and future products
Performing code reviews for peers and contributing to a collaborative working model
Tackling hard engineering and user experience problems and solving them in an elegant and seamless manner
Taking ownership of features and areas of the mobile application that will impact millions of users
Working with engineering team members to explore and create interesting solutions while sharing knowledge within the team
Collaborating with user experience designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver new features, enhancements, platform improvements and bug fixes
Collaborating with other engineers to write testable, reliable code, continuously deploying to production systems
Growing in a culture of learning through design discussions and code reviews
Owning, deploying, monitoring and operating large scale production systems distributed across the globe
Recommending alternative approaches to solving complex problems and using new technology to achieve goals
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience
Strong Object‑Oriented programming experience: Kotlin, Java, C++ or similar
Strong foundation in Computer Science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
Deep technical knowledge of Android mobile application development with a solid understanding of framework components and their life cycles
Expert in software development domain and principles, including design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration, and deployment architecture
Experience with mobile test‑driven development using Espresso, Robolectric, Appium or similar technologies
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as a core part of daily workflow to accelerate development velocity and optimize code quality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building apps with React Native
Experience working with Jetpack Compose
Experience with AI, ML and GenAI
Shipped an app to the Google Play Store
Experience developing mobile application frameworks and/or SDK solutions for identity, payments, analytics
Experience with web technologies (Node.js, JSON, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3)
Experience with Scrum or similar agile development methodology
To support collaboration in this newly established team, the role requires on‑site attendance at our Dublin office two days per week.
