Process & Utilities Engineer Overview We are currently seeking a Process & Utilities Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing operation. This is a key role within the engineering team, focused on utilities management, process optimisation, and continuous improvement across the plant. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of site utilities while driving technical improvements aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations and maintenance of site utilities systems Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety, and quality standards Develop and implement planned and predictive maintenance strategies Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues across utilities equipment and systems Plan and coordinate major maintenance activities and shutdowns Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency Support capital projects, upgrades, and process modifications Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams Mentor and support maintenance and operational personnel Engage with OEMs and external vendors to support plant performance Requirements Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Energy, Manufacturing, etc.) Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or utilities environment Experience in a technical leadership or supervisory capacity Strong knowledge of utilities systems (e.g. steam, thermal oil, combustion, effluent treatment) Experience with heavy rotating equipment Proven problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills Familiarity with safety legislation, risk assessments, and SOPs What's on Offer Opportunity to join a high-performing and collaborative engineering team Exposure to large-scale plant operations and capital projects Strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation Career progression opportunities within a growing organisation Skills: Utilities Process Engineering Sustainability
