Purpose of Position: Coordinate the Community Families Programme with specific responsibility for the coordination of parent/toddler groups Reporting to: ABC Assistant Director- Early Learning Initiative Supervised by: Community Families Senior Specialist Key Relationships: Director and Assistant Directors of the ABC Programme and Early Learning Initiative and Community Families Senior Specialist Community Families Coordinator- Home Visiting ELI Group Facilitators and community partners ABC Programme Staff Early Learning Initiative team. National College of Ireland Members of ABC consortium Stakeholders in the local community, including parents, children and practitioners Key Responsibilities: Support the Community Families Senior Specialist to develop, organise and run the Early Learning Initiative's programmes and workshops involving parents and children including Parent Toddler Groups Creative Events Early Years Events Story Telling Sessions Mam and Baby Fitness programmes Parent information sessions Baby Massage To assist the Community Families Senior Specialist in recruiting, hiring and training of ELI Group Facilitators. To develop and deliver professional development opportunities for ELI Group Facilitators and community partners Supervise and support ELI Group Facilitators Deputise for the Community Families Senior Specialist when required. Liaise with statutory, corporate, community and voluntary bodies around the development of the ELI Programmes and opportunities for shared learning and collaboration To assist with the management of the Community Families Groups programme budget and accounts. To order stock and organise deliveries of books and toys. To recruit families to participate in the programme. Organise and implement events for the programme families in conjunction with other Home Visiting and Parent Support team members. To organise, plan and post on ELI's social media platforms. Prepare and maintain records, reports and/or test data on the programme and participating children. Work with the Community Families Coordinator for Home Visiting to carry out intakes for the Home Visiting Programme. Participate in research activities. Any other duties as assigned by the Community Families Senior Specialist, ELI Director or Assistant Director. Skills and Experience required: Relevant 3rd level qualification Relevant experience of working with children, young people, families and statutory agencies Excellent administrative and organisational skills Excellent IT skills in Ms Excel Ms Word and other relevant research packages etc. Professional interest in early years education and family-based learning. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of College personnel, statutory, community and corporate stakeholders and other outside individuals/organisations Flexible approach to work as evening and weekend work may be required Ability to operate as a team player in a cross disciplinary, integrated team, sharing roles and responsibilities An energetic, confident and pro-active individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills Good time management skills with the ability to produce results to deadlines. Ability to work with marginalised families and have an understanding of the issues of marginalisation Contract: Full time and Fixed term 1 year contract (subject to funding) Salary: (€31,059 - €44,354) Administrator Salary band Annual Leave: 24 Days per annum pro rata Hours: Full time 35 hours per week Internal NCI Staff only Please apply with a CV and cover letter both in PDF format ONLY, quoting reference number: NCI 1098 to: by 5:00 pm, 12th June 2025.
