Cavan/ Longford Ref: S***** Due to continued success our client is now hiring for a Process Engineer to join their team.
This role will look at improving their production processes in a technical and modern manufacturing environment.
Due to location you will need to have your own transport.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a polymer, plastics, or chemical manufacturing environment (experience level can be adjusted).
Strong understanding of polymer processing techniques such as extrusion, injection moulding, compounding, or polymerisation.
Experience with process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).
Familiarity with quality systems (ISO, or similar).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Project management experience in a manufacturing environment and with data analysis software and process simulation tools is desirable.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor, analyse, and optimise polymer manufacturing processes to improve yield and quality.
Develop and implement process improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and efficiency projects.
Provide day-to-day technical support to production teams to resolve process issues and deviations.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support scale-up of new products, formulations, and process changes.
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and operating parameters.
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Analyse process data using statistical and engineering tools to drive continuous improvement.
Support commissioning, trials, and validation of new equipment and technologies.
