Role Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Manager role involves ensuring high standards of care across all units. Key responsibilities include planning, development, and management, working closely with the clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing home operations.
* Monitor the competence of nurses and care assistants to ensure compliance with quality and safety systems.
* Provide mentoring and coaching to nursing and care staff to enhance their skills and performance.
* Act as a support for clinical teams on a day-to-day basis to promote effective teamwork.
Professional and Clinical Skills:
* Promote a person-centred approach to assessment, planning, evaluation, and delivery of care services.
* Coordinate daily care for residents based on their current condition and needs.
* Attend governance meetings and staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to decision-making.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
* Conduct audits under the direction of the Director of Nursing to identify areas for improvement.
* Monitor quality and safety of care and service delivery to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
* Implement risk management initiatives developed by the governance committee to mitigate potential risks.
