MAIN RESPONSIBILITY
* Support the development of H&S strategies through the proactive evaluation of statistical data, knowledge of current and forthcoming legislative requirements and business specific objectives.
* Advise and actively support the site teams in all legislative H&S matters.
* Provide statistical reporting of H&S performance metrics to the site and relevant business leaders, identifying any trends and proposed corrective actions.
* Identify and assess business risks and propose effective processes and controls to manage those risks to an acceptable level.
* Manage COMAH compliance and demonstrate a strong understanding of process safety matters.
* Control site works from a H&S perspective always ensuring adherence to internal procedures including (but not limited to) Permit to Work, Control of Contractors, Risk Assessment, Emergency Response, Management of Change, Incident Investigation, delivery of Projects/CDM etc.
* Provide occupational health surveillance support based on defined risk matrix.
* Deliver H&S training (regulatory/awareness) as defined in the Competency Framework.
* Drive continuous improvement within the Health & Safety Framework/Integrated Management System.
* Co- ordinate the work of external regulators, auditors and/or third-party consultants governing effective and timely closure of any actions.
* Follow and comply with all processes, standards, and guidelines in the performance of your role, reporting any non-conformances in a timely manner.
* Contribute and participate in the Team Performance System through engaging in team meetings and taking an active part in problem solving activities.
* Work collaboratively with peers and colleagues and apply learnings from identified training and development activities required to perform in role.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, with experience in Process Safety.
* Experience of working in a highly regulated industry with COMAH / EPA experience highly desirable.
* Investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences and the reporting and recommendation of corrective actions to address findings
* Demonstrate successful use of data analysis techniques within a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001 and 45001 standards
* Computer Literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Q-Pulse
SALARY
* €65,000 - €75,000 + Bonus Plan
