Procurement Manager Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Procurement Manager, where you will play a key role in delivering strategic procurement initiatives that support commercial and operational objectives.
You will work cross-functionally to drive supplier performance, bid support, and ensure the supply chain reflects our commitment to social value, innovation, and sustainability while also achieving value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage overall direction, coordination, communication, and evaluation of Procurement in Ireland.
* Implement best-in-class procurement and supplier management practices aligned with commercial and operational goals.
* Create and manage a robust and effective supply chain across all areas of operation both in terms of geographic spread and service range.
* Set policy and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring process for the business.
* Perform procurement activities including pre-qualification, tender management, supplier management, negotiations, and preparation of contracts.
* Identify cost reduction opportunities and category strategies to achieve cost reduction plan.
* Manage a pre-engagement vetting and compliance-checking programme.
* Deliver an end-to-end sourcing service for specific client account requirements.
* Advise clients and internal teams on potential suppliers for specific service ranges and portfolios.
* Benchmark costs for specific services and locations.
Requirements:
* A team player with excellent organisational skills.
* Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills.
* Knowledge of the Facilities Management sector and particularly the hard-services area is beneficial.
* Experience of delivering a full supply-chain management and sourcing service.
* Relevant Facilities Management contract management experience, category or vendor management.
* Experience in supporting RFPs and commercial contract reviews.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts, and P2P process and controls.
* A minimum of 5+ years experience in vendor management/sourcing functions, preferably in a Facilities Management and EU regulated environment.
