Role: MEICA Project Engineer
Location Base: Covering our projects throughout Munster such as Co. Limerick, Co. Cork, and Co. Kerry

The Role:
You will work as part of our multi-disciplinary engineering team to bring water and wastewater projects from initial design, through to completion and handover to the client. You will have the opportunity to work alongside, and collaborate with, industry-leading project teams, fostering a one-team culture while broadening your own skill set.
As a MEICA Project Engineer, you will support the project manager and contracts manager in daily operations and project delivery, showing progression and development in your career. Your work will primarily involve Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) installation, with opportunities to witness civil/building engineering works, process design, commissioning, and operations, providing a wide multidisciplinary engineering knowledge base.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a team to deliver multiple projects, embracing a “one team” ethos.
* Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards and policies on-site.
* Familiarity with HSQE management systems and statutory requirements.
* Provide coverage and manage daily site operations in the absence of the project manager.
* Understand project programmes and budgets, and the impact of overruns.
* Review, prepare, and submit detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to work activities.
* Ensure project delivery aligns with quality procedures, including FAT, SAT, ITRs, pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and commissioning.
* Prepare and submit project handover files, including O&M Manuals, Safety Files, and As-Constructed Drawings.
* Verify design, materials, and workmanship meet specified requirements.
* Engage with suppliers and subcontractors for project procurement and provide recommendations on equipment selection.
* Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including consultants, subcontractors, site staff, and commercial resources.
* Conduct weekly site meetings to plan and coordinate works efficiently and safely.
* Interact with employer representatives, stakeholders, and the public.
* Monitor onsite progress, adjust workflows to meet or beat deadlines.
* Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with standards and technologies.
* Show eagerness for learning and career progression, including mentoring junior staff.
* Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in water/wastewater industry.
* Level 7 Honours Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
* Interest in career development within a leading industry organization.
* Teamwork and active participation in project delivery.
* Procurement and supplier engagement skills.
* Problem-solving skills and initiative.
* Proficiency in MS Office, GPS, total station, and CAD.
* Strong communication skills and motivation.
* Full driving license.
