Senior Social Worker - Mental Health Services Full-Time Permanent Highfield Healthcare is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team. The post holder will work as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team on a 0.5 WTE basis in each of the two Community based Mental Health Services. The two services are in Elmhurst Day Hospital based in Hampstead Ave, Glasnevin, Dublin 9 and Lucan Community Mental Health Hub, Griffin Rd East, Lucan, Co. Dublin. The position will be based in our in Lucan and Elmhurst Day Hospital (Ballymun Rd, Glasnevin). The post holder will provide a social work service to the day hospitals and a domiciliary role as part of the Hospital in the Home service operating from Lucan. The post holder will report to the Social Work Manager / Team Leader. The role involves working with a general adult and older adult patient population. What Youll Do: Provide a professional social work service to day hospital and community-based patients including psycho-social assessment, groupwork, therapeutic interventions, risk assessment and discharge planning. The Senior Social Worker emphasizes the importance of family-focused practice, and their psychosocial assessments and therapeutic interventions focus not only on an individuals mental health needs, but on their relationships, supporters and the broader family and community systems. Essential Requirements Must be registered with CORU. Demonstrate sufficient clinical and professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role. Hold a National Qualification in Social Work (N.Q.S.W.) or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work awarded by the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work, U.K. or an equivalent qualification recognized for appointment to the post of Senior Social Worker in Ireland. Have at least 3 years experience of working in mental health Full drivers licence and have access to a car.
