Due to continued expansion, we are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Crche Area Manager to oversee the operation of multiple childcare centres across Munster. The Role As the Area Manager You will be responsible for leading and supporting a portfolio of crche locations, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational excellence are maintained across all centres. This is a strategic leadership role that will involve regular site visits, mentoring centre managers, and implementing company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple crche locations across the region, ensuring high standards of care, education, and operational excellence. Ensure full compliance with Tusla regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and all relevant childcare standards and policies. Lead, support, and mentor Centre Managers and their teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality childcare experience across all locations. Monitor and analyse occupancy levels, budgets, staffing requirements, and key performance indicators to support operational efficiency and business growth. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, while contributing to ongoing staff training, coaching, and professional development. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, responding professionally to queries and concerns as required. Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to the Director of Operations and Senior Management Team. Requirements Minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent recognised qualification). Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior management or leadership role within the childcare or early years sector. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support teams to achieve high standards of performance. Strong working knowledge of Tusla regulations, compliance requirements, and national quality frameworks including Aistear and Solta. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation. Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel regularly between locations.
