As Estimator Manager, you'll oversee the full estimating process from tender receipt through to final submission, ensuring that every bid is accurate, competitive, and aligned with client requirements. You'll manage a team of estimators, support business development through pricing strategy and pre-construction input, and work closely with our design and project delivery teams. Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the estimating department across all active and upcoming tenders. Oversee the preparation of detailed mechanical estimates and cost plans. Review tender documentation and identify key risks, opportunities, and value engineering options. Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement, and senior management to develop competitive proposals. Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely pricing input. Implement and maintain best practices in estimating processes, documentation, and systems. Mentor and develop the estimating team to ensure ongoing professional growth and performance excellence. Requirements: A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management. Minimum of 8 years' experience in estimating, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong technical background in mechanical building services with proven experience in complex, large-scale projects. Excellent commercial acumen, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
