Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Mechanical Contracts Administrator / Quantity Surveyor based in Leixlip, Kildare. The role involves managing mechanical contracts, overseeing cost control and project budgets, preparing payment applications, and maintaining detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate will collaborate closely with project teams and clients to ensure efficient and accurate administration of contracts while meeting project goals and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage M&E cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
* Conduct tender analysis and support subcontractor procurement for M&E packages.
* Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations to ensure accurate financial tracking.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align commercial and technical requirements.
* Prepare interim and final accounts, including cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports.
* Assess and manage M&E subcontractor accounts and applications for payment.
* Identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities across the M&E scope.
* Ensure compliance with contract terms, procurement frameworks, and client requirements.
* Support cost reporting and commercial strategy at project review meetings.
* Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and Maintenance
* Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
* Knowledge of Inspection processes and methodologies
* Familiarity with the Automotive sector and its mechanical systems
* Strong organizational and project management skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying
or a related field
