Role Profile
The School of Computing is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Computer Science to join its expanding team of talented academics. The successful candidate will have a strong research track record in Software Engineering, Data Analytics/AI and/or Education Technology and will contribute to teaching, curriculum development and administrative activities across all levels. The appointee must have a demonstrated track record of teaching at B.Sc. (or higher) level and a research profile with publication in high‑quality peer‑reviewed journals and conferences, supervision of research students, engagement with industry, attraction of research funding and other forms of international research leadership. They will be expected to demonstrate an alignment of their research interests with existing expertise within the School of Computing.

Salary Scale
Assistant Professor – €63,944 – €102,476 (see DCU Payscales).

Remote Working Policy
From the 1st of November 2024, DCU will operate its newly agreed Remote Working Policy. Employees may be approved for up to 2 days of remote working per week (or an appropriate pro‑rated amount for part‑time staff). Any remote working arrangement will be reflective of the predominant on‑campus working environment and the core University value of ‘Student Focused’. Employees will be based on campus for the majority of their working week to ensure a sustained on‑campus engagement and experience. The terms of the remote working policy will apply.
