Program Overview
The Global Operations Leadership Development (GOLD) Program offers recent university graduates the opportunity to accelerate career growth through a structured framework combining challenging work rotations with classroom and online training. The goal is to develop the next generation of leaders across end-to-end global supply chain functions within Johnson & Johnson. Functional areas include operations, procurement, quality, planning, customer and logistics services, project and process engineering, facilities engineering, and quality technical support. The program emphasizes multi-functional work assignments and action learning to build leadership-ready capabilities.
Program Components
* Combine on-the-job experience with business, leadership & personal development training
* Rotational assignments across multiple sites throughout the EU and Switzerland (four different rotational cohorts across EMEA; all qualified candidates are eligible for each cohort)
* Irish domestic cohort: rotations across J&J Ireland campuses
* Swiss domestic cohort: rotations across J&J Switzerland campuses
* Belgian domestic cohort: rotations across J&J Belgium campuses
* Cross-Country cohort: rotations across European J&J campuses
* Opportunity to expand technical capabilities, leadership skills and business knowledge
* Exposure to a broad range of experiences across the global Supply Chain in both Innovative Medicine and Medical Technology
* Global networking, in-person residencies, and virtual collaboration with fellow associates worldwide
* Building technical skills across: project management; supply chain management (planning, manufacturing & procurement); quality and regulatory compliance; manufacturing operations; customer, and logistics services (distribution, transportation, and warehousing); product and process analysis & improvement methodologies (six sigma, lean, design excellence)
Position Responsibilities
* Demonstrate ability to understand how Johnson & Johnson’s global supply chain functions connect to support the business and customers worldwide
* Gain experience across the global end-to-end supply chain
* Participate in planning, production and distribution of products and services
* Maintain or improve manufacturing cost, efficiency, capacity, and compliance
* Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to drive key decisions and outcomes
* Learn about designing or redesigning new products
* Maintain quality and regulatory compliance
* Understand the impact of the business on the customer experience
* Keep the customer at the center of all activities
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a field such as supply chain, business administration, business management, data science or engineering
* Strong academic performance in university
* Interest in exploring multifunctional assignments across a global supply chain
* Professional experience in a relevant area (minimum 3 months preferred; up to 2 years full-time experience by Dec 31, 2025, including co-ops, internships, and post-graduate employment)
* European geographic flexibility required over the course of the program and at graduation
* Authorized to work permanently in the EU or Switzerland without sponsorship now or in the future
* Eligible to begin full-time employment with Johnson & Johnson in summer 2026 to align with program start (optional February 2026 start may be offered to degree-holders by December 2025)
