Identity Governance & Identity Operations Technical Lead
Deliver and support the company’s 24/7 identity platforms and services, ensuring secure, appropriate, and timely access to enterprise resources. This technical leadership position supports Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategy across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the on‑call rotation for email support coverage across Kuala Lumpur, Cork, and the U.S. IAM teams (weekend shifts, 7 pm–7 pm local time). Provide guidance on resolving priority IAM requests.
Recruit, hire, coach, and develop high‑performing IAM engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational discipline.
Lead operational excellence activities: incident, change, and problem management for Identity Governance services, ensuring 24/7 availability.
Monitor system performance and health, perform routine maintenance, and implement proactive enhancements to reduce downtime.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports; provide status updates to management.
Collaborate closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless service operation.
Plan capacity and resource allocation to support growth.
Respond to audit and compliance requests related to Identity services, and support separation and technical gap management.
Develop, validate, and deploy solutions to resolve identified problems, ensuring root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Identify and implement process improvements and best practices for IAM problem management.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience supporting, delivering, and securing IAM services.
Deep expertise in identity provisioning, access management, and governance administration.
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Identity Manager, Entra ID, and SailPoint IIQ.
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL service‑management experience.
Proven collaboration skills with distributed, virtual teams.
Critical thinking, analytical and thought‑leadership abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services, and understanding of cloud‑platform security controls.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent.
