ALONE support older people to age at home. We provide direct, frontline services to people aged 60 and over, through support coordination, support and befriending, housing with support, and the application of assistive technology. We have a network of staff and more than 3,000 volunteers across the country We have been awarded Quality Marks from Volunteer Ireland, the ISO, the Charities Regulator and the Housing Regulatory Standard.
ALONE’s first HwS scheme launched in 2025 and in is focused on the development and implementation of a person-centred, 24/7 on-site service model which will empower Residents to live independently and autonomously within their own home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Scheme Manager to contribute to the development of their own on-site service model which will be operational next year, positively influencing the lives of numerous older people.
As the Scheme Manager, you will lead, build, motivate, and support a multifunctional team providing the full range of ALONE's Housing with Support services at our Inchicore HwS Demonstrator Scheme. You will develop and manage relationships with all local Statutory, Community, and Voluntary organisations and stakeholders.
You will effectively train and lead ALONE’s on-site support workers, delivering person-centred enablement services to Residents.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the delivery of ALONE’s Housing with Support (HwS) services, including care coordination, befriending, and assistive technology.
* Recruit, support, and supervise staff and volunteers, promoting well-being, performance, and alignment with ALONE’s values.
* Develop and maintain partnerships with local statutory, community, and voluntary organisations to build referral pathways and enhance service capacity.
* Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements, HSE reporting requirements, and ALONE’s Quality Management System (QMS).
* Oversee the creation, implementation, and review of person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
* Ensure staff are equipped through a comprehensive training plan and regular mentoring.
* Monitor and manage service delivery within budget, producing and analysing KPIs to guide continuous improvement.
* Lead community engagement efforts to foster a sense of belonging and promote resident participation in social activities.
* Manage responses to complaints and safeguarding concerns, providing occasional out-of-hours support.
* Promote the HwS model as an exemplar for potential replication and service development.
* Demonstrated interest in working with older people and commitment to ALONE's mission.
* Relevant third-level qualification and minimum 3 years’ management experience desirable.
* Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate, support, and develop staff.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills across multiple stakeholders.
* Proven experience in service delivery and project or change management.
* Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
* High computer literacy, including MS Office, case management systems, and CRM tools.
* Ability to deliver person-centred, high-quality services with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and financial modelling.
* Solid understanding of health and social services, local referral pathways, and community supports.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation including Health & Safety, Employment Law, and regulatory standards.
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate and implement sustainable solutions.
* Experience in creating a positive work environment with a culture of learning and high staff morale.
* Salary - depending on experience
* 35 Hour week (core hours 9-5) –Full-time employees can enjoy a 35-hour working week.
